Florida Cuban sandwiches & cafecito

56 restaurants, bakeries and coffee windows across Florida known for Cuban sandwiches and Cuban coffee, each checked in fall 2026 against a 2025–26 source: its own menu or site, recent local news or an official tourism listing. 23 are in Miami-Dade County and 9 in Hillsborough (Tampa).

The sandwich and the coffee window

A Cuban sandwich is roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on Cuban bread, pressed flat and hot. Tampa's version, from the Ybor City cigar-factory days, usually adds Genoa salami. The coffee comes strong and sweet: a cafecito is a single shot of Cuban espresso, and a colada is a bigger cup poured into thimble-sized cups to share, often from a walk-up window, the ventanita.

The list at a glance

Towns with the most: Miami (15), Tampa (9), Jacksonville (4), Miami Beach (3), St. Augustine (3), Key West (3), Hialeah (3), Coral Gables (2). The dishes we found most often: cuban sandwich (27), pastries (8), cafecito (7), croquetas (7), café con leche (7), pastelitos (6).

Our method: a place made the list only if a 2025 or 2026 source backed it up (its own site or menu, a dated local news story or an official tourism listing) and its street address matched. No current source, or a website gone dark, and it stayed off. Review sites played no part, and places run by region and town rather than by anybody's score. Menus change, so call ahead.

On your phone, Florida Eats orders this list by how far each place is from you, and a tap opens Apple Maps' live card with hours, photos and directions.
