Green chile, brewpubs and mountain-town dining · iPhone and iPad
Colorado restaurants, from Pueblo sloppers to slopeside lodges
Where's the closest bowl of green chile? Which pub brews its own beer? Where do you eat in Aspen after the last chair? Colorado Eats is a free iPhone and iPad guide built around those questions: 46 green chile spots and 46 ski-town restaurants we checked ourselves, 234 brewpubs from the state's license list, and 15,716 restaurants, cafés, bars and bakeries across 308 Colorado towns.

Green chile first, star ratings never
Map apps sort by stars and crowds. This one starts from Colorado's own short list: a smothered burrito, a pint brewed behind the bar, dinner in a mountain town, elk or bison on the menu, and a saloon that's been pouring since the mining days. We checked the green chile, ski-town and game lists in fall 2026 against 2025–26 sources, and the brewpubs are matched to the state's Brew Pub and Distillery Pub license list. Ratings, hours and photos are one tap away, on the place's own Apple Maps card.

Costs nothing, sells nothing
Colorado Eats costs nothing and has nothing to sell: no ads, no subscription, no in-app purchases, no account to make. The lists ship inside the app, so they open fast and keep working when the signal drops out on a mountain pass.
Your green chile habits are nobody's business
We don't collect a thing. If you turn on location, it orders the lists on your own device and is never sent to us; saved places stay on the device too. No cookies, analytics or trackers here either. The privacy policy has the details.
Questions
Does Colorado Eats cost anything?
Not a cent. Colorado Eats has no ads, no purchases and no sign-up. It runs on iPhone and iPad only (no Android build for now) and reaches the App Store soon; the web search is live already.
What's a slopper, and where can I get one?
A Pueblo dish: a hamburger in a bowl, smothered in green chile. 6 places on the green chile list serve one, and 9 of the list's 46 are in Pueblo County. Search "slopper" in the app or on the web to see them.
Is a brewpub the same as a brewery taproom?
Not in Colorado's licensing. A Brew Pub license is for a restaurant that brews beer on site and serves it with food (a Distillery Pub license does the same for spirits); a production brewery's taproom holds a manufacturer license and needn't serve food. The brewpub list is the 234 places matched to those licenses on the state's list of September 24, 2026.
Are ski-town restaurants open in mud season?
Many close for a few weeks in spring and fall, and on-mountain lodges open only in ski season. The ski-town list notes the seasons places publish, so check before you drive up.
Can I see restaurant inspections for my county?
Only Boulder County's: it's the one Colorado county that publishes inspection results in bulk. The app and the Boulder County inspections page show each place's latest recorded result from Boulder County Public Health (Pass, Re-Inspection Required or Closure) with its risk points, records through July 21, 2026. We never turn them into a grade. Other counties publish one search at a time.
Who checked these lists, and why no star ratings?
We checked the green chile, game and steakhouse, ski-town and oldest lists by hand in fall 2026, each place against a 2025 or 2026 source such as its own menu page or a dated local news story. Brewpubs come from the state's license list. The rest of the 15,716 places come from Overture Maps' open place data, Denver's business licenses and the state's liquor licenses. We publish no ratings: tap a place and Apple Maps' own card shows Apple's ratings, hours and photos.
Does Colorado Eats track where I am?
No. Location, if you turn it on, only orders the lists by distance, on your iPhone or iPad; we never receive it. On this website, Near me does the same inside your browser.
Spotted a closed place, or one that's missing?
Tell us at nick@eatsranked.com; the place's name and town are enough. We correct the lists in the next app and site update.
